Procedure

·       Shooters must straddle the shooting line

·       An end will be composed of 5 arrows with a time limit of 4 minutes

·       An archer may shoot all five arrows into the same spot on a 5-spot target and they will all still score.

·       The qualification round will be composed of 12 scoring ends

·       After 6 ends, the bottom shooters change to the top target and the top shooters change to the bottom target.

·       There will be two official practice ends before each qualification round.

For qualifications: Tie breakers will be determined by who has more 7's. If still tied, highest number of 6's. Still tied, there will be a 1 arrow shoot off or a coin flip depending on availability of archers.

For eliminations: Tie breakers will be determined by a 1 arrow shoot off, closest to the center. (Cannot determine winner, reshoot closest to the center)

Scoring

·       The scoring area values will be 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1.

·       On the 5-spot target face, the only scoring values are 7, 6, 5, and 4. An arrow not touching a scoring area will be scored as a Miss.

·       The 7 will be an arrow entirely inside the center area without touching the line.

·       The 6 will be an arrow that touches the blue line around the center area.

·       The line that separates the scoring area will be entirely in the higher scoring area (i.e., all the arrow must do is touch the line for the higher score) except for the center area, which is scored as indicated above.

·       An archer who shoots more than five arrows at the target will lose the arrows of higher value in that end. A penalty of one point is assessed for each arrow shot over the prescribed number of arrows. The penalty point comes only after the extra arrow/arrows are shot.
